Accessibility statement

We want anyone to be able to run their guild with WoWGuildHub, whatever device they use and whether or not they have a disability. This statement explains where we stand today and how to tell us what fails.

Compliance status

WoWGuildHub partially conforms to the European standard EN 301 549, which includes WCAG 2.1 level AA and is the reference for the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882). "Partially" because of the points listed below.

What we do

  • Minimum contrast of 4.5:1 for text and 3:1 for controls, checked in every colour theme.
  • The whole site works with a keyboard: a skip-to-content link, focus always visible and a logical tab order.
  • Semantic structure: headings, regions (header, navigation, content, footer) and each page's language declared.
  • Responsive layout from 320 px up, with no horizontal page scrolling, and zoom up to 200%.
  • The system's reduce-motion setting is respected: animations are switched off.
  • Controls have accessible names, and forms have labels and text error messages.
  • Decorative icons are hidden from screen readers and meaningful images carry alternative text.

Known limitations

  • Game text (talents, spells, races) is shown in English, as it comes in the WoW client.
  • In the talent calculator, removing a point is done with a right click or the "Remove" mode; the trees can be reached with a keyboard, but a very narrow screen has them scroll sideways.
  • Wowhead's item tooltips are a third-party service whose accessibility we do not control.
  • Blizzard's official images are decorative and carry no information that is not also in text.
  • Character names use World of Warcraft's official class colours; a few (Death Knight, Shaman, Demon Hunter, Evoker) fall below 4.5:1 on dark backgrounds. The class is always also given by its name or icon.

Contact and complaints

If you find an accessibility barrier or need content in another format, tell your guild's officers or WoWGuildHub's administrators. We reply within 30 days at most. If you are not satisfied with the answer, you can contact your country's market surveillance authority.
